E34-West at Waasland Port

The Port of Antwerp is expanding, with a second tidal dock set to open on the left bank of the Scheldt in 2032. This expansion is expected to generate additional freight and other traffic in the region. To accommodate this increased traffic and ensure good connections to the wider road network, the E34 is being redesigned at several locations. The redesign has multiple objectives, addressing the needs of port traffic, car and bicycle traffic, as well as the integration of the infrastructure into the surrounding landscape.

Arcadis was awarded the project, with Createlli acting as the project’s stakeholder and community engagement manager, facilitating dialogue between the project team and the surrounding community, including residents, businesses, public authorities and other stakeholders. Effective dialogue allows the design to proactively take into account stakeholders’ concerns, needs and interests wherever possible.

More specifically, Createlli is responsible for the context and stakeholder analysis, stakeholder engagement, participation and communication with the various parties involved.
