Masterplan social housing district Peterbos
Peterbos is a social housing neighborhood consisting of 18 residential towers surrounded by a green park. The municipality of Anderlecht aims to revitalize the open, paved public spaces around these towers to create areas for recreation and relaxation. In collaboration with Osmos, Createlli facilitated engagement with the neighborhood through a sounding board group that included organizations like the Anderlecht Neighborhood Antenna, D’Broeij, Samenlevingsopbouw, local schools, and the social work platform in the area.
Together, we organized a wide range of activities, with a strong focus on engaging key target groups such as young people, children, women, and the most vulnerable residents. By tailoring activities to these groups, we fostered co-ownership of the future of their living environment.
This participation process took place during the COVID-19 lockdown, when schools, associations, and social services were closed. We had to creatively adapt our approach to meet the challenges of the situation, continuously adjusting to ensure meaningful engagement despite the restrictions.
