Last week, children and young people from the neighbourhood shared their ideas for the future of Distelhoek playground in Merksem. During the workshops, they talked about how they experience the playground today and shared their ideas and wishes for a place where everyone feels welcome and enjoys spending time. 💡

In the coming weeks, we’ll be organising two additional workshops with girls from the neighbourhood. They currently use the playground less often, but their perspectives are just as important. By listening to their voices as well, we can create a design that responds to the needs and aspirations of all children and young people
