As part of the development of Geraardsbergen’s 2025-2030 multi-year plan, the city launched both an internal and external participation process.

For the internal process, we organized a team day for city services. Through interactive discussion tables, participants from different departments had the opportunity to connect, exchange ideas, and align their plans. Topics such as digitization, diversity, changing legislation, and climate change were enthusiastically explored. The outcomes and expectations of city services for the upcoming administration were compiled into a comprehensive final report.

In parallel, we designed a digital citizen survey for the external process, enabling residents to share their views on key themes like mobility, climate, housing, economy, and culture.

By combining insights from both employees and citizens, we gathered valuable input to inspire the next multi-year plan. This inclusive approach ensures that the ideas and perspectives of all stakeholders will play a direct role in shaping future decisions.
