Zoals de moeilijke doorstroming tijdens de spits en de hoeveelheid fietser en voetgangers die veilig willen oversteken (voornamelijk studenten). Bovendien is het kruispunt onvoldoende uitgerust om zowel het doorgaand als het lokaal verkeer te verwerken naar de handelszaken en scholen langs de R71. AWV wil een verkeersveilige oversteek en een duurzame optimalisatie van het kruispunt. Naast de herinrichting mikt het project ook op een modal shift bij de studenten.
Samen met Studiebureau Arcadis gingen we aan de slag om tot een gedragen oplossing te komen. De R71, het kruispunt en omgeving worden druk gebruikt door studenten, onderwijzend personeel, bezoekers van bedrijven en handelszaken en ook doorgaand verkeer. Om die groepen voldoende te bereiken en betrekken stelden we een multi-kanaal-participatie voor. Daarbij richtten we ons op informeren, de noden en wensen van gebruikers in kaart te brengen en tot een gedragen aanbeveling te komen. \n\n "},"yoast_head":"\nEen veilige fietsoplossing op een R71-kruising -
