Van 2020 tot 2023 liep er een studie om een nieuw mobiliteitsplan op te stellen. Tielt ging voor een uitgebreid participatietraject om knelpunten en voorstellen van burgers, bezoekers,, verenigingen en organisaties in kaart te brengen. Samen met de stad en experten van Vectris brachten we context, stakeholders en actoren in kaart en aanpak van het participatietraject. We nodigden verenigingen, gemeenteraad, adviesraden en actoren uit de aanpak van de studie en het participatieproces te bepalen. Zo trokken we samen met hen naar de burger. Cruciaal in de strategie was om eerst naar de inwoners te luisteren voor we zelf voorstellen uitwerkten. Hiervoor gebruikten we onze digitale bevragingstool. Met die schat aan informatie gingen we in dieptegesprekken met scholen en actoren, burgerpanels en klankbordgroep over mogelijke scenario\u2019s. We legden het resultaat voor aan de burgers en afsluitend opnieuw aan de klankbordgroep. Na validatie van het plan in de gemeenteraad begeleidden we de communicatie van de testfase.
