aansluit op het Spaanse. Deze spoorweginfrastructuur domineert het stadscentrum, maar door een optimalisatie komt er 34 hectare vrij voor herontwikkeling. Het stadsbestuur wil samen met burgers en belanghebbenden van deze gelegenheid gebruikmaken om Irun een nieuw gezicht te geven. Dit participatieproject vormt een cruciale stap in de verkennende fase, waarin de doelen en ontwerpcriteria voor het nieuwe masterplan worden vastgesteld. Het doel is om de impact van de spoorinfrastructuur te verminderen, het station grondig te renoveren, het spoortrac\u00e9 te herzien en ruimte te cre\u00ebren voor een gemengd gebruik met een dienstencentrum, bedrijvigheid en woningen.<br>Het participatieproces richt zich op informeren, testen en het opbouwen van consensus. We informeren de gemeenschap over het project, het belang van participatie en het planningsproces. Vervolgens worden verschillende idee\u00ebn en benaderingen getest vanuit meerdere perspectieven, waarbij visualisaties helpen om de doelstellingen tastbaar te maken en draagvlak te cre\u00ebren. Tijdens dit proces hebben 740 mensen deelgenomen aan enqu\u00eates, 350 aan fysieke workshops, en meer dan 4.000 mensen bezochten de informatietentoonstellingen. Deze productieve uitwisseling leidde tot een brede consensus over de doelen, die als basis dienden voor het verdere masterplan.
