Les remparts, les fortifications et les parcs qui entourent le centre de Termonde sont des vestiges de la ceinture fortifi\u00e9e, qui faisait partie de la barri\u00e8re de Wellington, une ligne de d\u00e9fense contre la France s'\u00e9tendant sur 19 villes belges. Bien que certaines parties de la zone aient d\u00e9j\u00e0 \u00e9t\u00e9 restaur\u00e9es, de nombreuses organisations restent actives dans la r\u00e9gion et s'efforcent de pr\u00e9server son patrimoine. <\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

\n\nAu fur et \u00e0 mesure que la ville \u00e9volue, chaque projet de r\u00e9novation pr\u00e9sente le risque de perdre une partie de la ceinture de la forteresse ou l'occasion de la restaurer et de la faire revivre. Pour guider les d\u00e9veloppements futurs, Termonde a cr\u00e9\u00e9 une vision directrice \u00e0 long terme visant \u00e0 sauvegarder et \u00e0 mettre en valeur cette zone historique. Une \u00e9quipe de conception a \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9sign\u00e9e et la ville a mis l'accent sur une collaboration \u00e9troite avec les organisations locales, les associations et les habitants. Un groupe de r\u00e9flexion compos\u00e9 d'associations actives, d'\u00e9coles et de conseils consultatifs a contribu\u00e9 \u00e0 soutenir le projet et son approche participative. Dans le cadre de ce processus, 645 citoyens ont apport\u00e9 une contribution pr\u00e9cieuse, en donnant leur avis sur l'utilisation actuelle, les propositions de l'\u00e9quipe de conception et des id\u00e9es pour la vision future.
