Le tron\u00e7on entre la ligne de chemin de fer Bruges-Courtrai et la Lys constitue toutefois une exception, avec des intersections contr\u00f4l\u00e9es par des feux de circulation et un acc\u00e8s direct aux parkings des grands magasins. Dans cette section, les pistes cyclables ne sont pas s\u00e9par\u00e9es et les chemins pi\u00e9tonniers sont incomplets. En collaboration avec le personnel de la ville de Courtrai et de la municipalit\u00e9 de Kuurne, nous avons affin\u00e9 une s\u00e9rie de questions initiales afin de les aligner sur les objectifs du projet. Notre objectif \u00e9tait d'\u00e9valuer la fa\u00e7on dont les utilisateurs et les r\u00e9sidents vivent actuellement cette portion de la R8 et de comprendre leurs attentes quant \u00e0 son r\u00e9am\u00e9nagement. L'enqu\u00eate en ligne a attir\u00e9 941 r\u00e9pondants. La majorit\u00e9 d'entre eux ont exprim\u00e9 le souhait que le trafic de transit emprunte une R8 continue, \u00e9ventuellement en utilisant le terre-plein central actuellement inutilis\u00e9. Ils ont \u00e9galement recommand\u00e9 que les voies de desserte soient con\u00e7ues s\u00e9par\u00e9ment pour le trafic local, afin d'am\u00e9liorer la fluidit\u00e9 du trafic local et du trafic de transit.
